Rainer Verstynen bids farewell on his retirement
Düsseldorf, 3 March 2010 – From 1 April 2010, Reinhold Schlensok will be the new CEO at TEEKANNE GmbH & Co. KG, Düsseldorf. In terms of value, this family company is the market leader in tea, and has represented the very best in tea quality, innovation and taste for more than 125 years. Before joining TEEKANNE, Reinhold Schlensok (47) was the sole director of Dr. Scheller Cosmetics AG, until he left that company on 31 December 2009. Schlensok takes over from Rainer Verstynen (65), CEO at TEEKANNE since 2001 and who retires on 31 March 2010. “I am delighted that such a reputable expert as Reinhold Schlensok, with his many years of experience, will be joining our company”, stated Verstynen in his warm welcome to his successor.
Reinhold Schlensok began his career in product management with Procter & Gamble. At the beginning of the 1990s, he moved to Eckes-Granini GmbH in Nieder-Olm. After holding various positions at home and abroad, he finally joined the board as Marketing Director. In 2002, he joined the board of directors at Dr. Scheller Cosmetics AG in Eislingen and was initially responsible for Sales and Marketing. After the family shareholders left the company, Mr Schlensok took over the management of it, a responsibility which has occupied him over the last four years. Reinhold Schlensok sees joining TEEKANNE as something of an entrepreneurial challenge and hopes to be able to further improve the company’s dynamic and independent position that Rainer Verstynen has successfully and consistently achieved in recent years.
