AIR FREE TECHNOLOGY
The ZENOBIA basic machine has a new add-on option: A module offering both Teepack’s patented air-deflation technology and modified atmosphere packaging (MAP). The new module can be built onto the basic machine: No additional machine is required. With the new module, ZENOBIA can produce block bottom bags with minimal air content to save packing space. The composition of the air can also be altered to ensure preserve the freshness and quality of the product.
Teepack’s air-deflation process in brief: Even before the cross seal jaws close, a servo driven lifter lifts the bag and folds the still-warm bottom seam. Next, the side folders immediately fold the foil above the filling level. To make the product more compact, a vibrator can be switched on before the side-folding process begins. Immediately afterwards, the top seam is fused. The finished bag has minimal air content. The operator can define the excess length in a range of 35 to a maximum of 100 mm.
Advantages of the AIR FREE SYSTEM:
- Produces air-deflated block bottom bags in one process
- Output up to 110 bags per min.
- Saves production space on the packing floor
- Allows MAP packaging to ensure longer shelf life
- Adjustable to filling level (density control)
- Defined fold-over of the bottom seam
- Effective product compaction through vibrating side guides
- Add-on module, no need for additional machine

The air-deflation system has a density control which monitors filling level fluctuations via a device on the lifter. If the filling level of a bag is changed, a step motor corrects the position of the top folder.
With the new module, the filling process can also be carried out under modified atmospheric conditions. This means that the oxygen, carbon dioxide and nitrogen levels of the air left in the bag can be modified (MAP technology) to ensure longer shelf life of the product.
When the operator enters the format, the required fusing time and the sealing pressure, all movements of all the axes are optimally calculated and saved to achieve maximum attainable output.
